Close to 600 Filipinos participated in the National AI Prompt Design Challenge (NAIPDC), a nationwide initiative promoting no-code AI applications. Organized by Straits Interactive and the Analytics and AI Association of the Philippines, this challenge showcased entries from over 20 industries across various regions, emphasizing how AI can be democratized.
Finalists merged prompt engineering with domain expertise to create innovative tools like Export Buddy, a chatbot aiding Filipino exporters, and BldgGuide PH, assisting builders with regulatory compliance. The competition leveraged Straits Interactive’s Capabara platform, allowing non-technical users to develop AI solutions effortlessly.
Notably, the initiative underscores the rising interest in AI and prompt engineering in the Philippines, aimed at closing regional innovation gaps.
