FourKites Introduces AI Agent Alan to Streamline Appointment Scheduling for US Cold Storage Operations

FourKites has partnered with United States Cold Storage (US Cold Storage) to implement its AI-powered Digital Worker, Alan, for automating appointment scheduling. This innovation aims to enhance scheduling accuracy and diminish manual inefficiencies in complex fleet operations. During an eight-week pilot, US Cold Storage recorded an impressive 87% success rate in booking appointments and a 96% accuracy in delivery date requests while handling over 600 shipments. Alan operates 24/7, managing over 150 appointments simultaneously, thereby boosting productivity and allowing staff to concentrate on customer service. Unlike traditional robotic process automation, Alan adapts to dynamic conditions across various channels and integrates seamlessly with FourKites’ real-time logistics network. The deployment, covering four major retailers, showcased immediate efficiency improvements across US Cold Storage’s 38 facilities. Keith Mowery, EVP of logistics, expressed excitement about leveraging Alan for more efficient scheduling. This collaboration underscores the growing impact of AI in logistics and supply chain management.
