Foxlink, a major supplier for Apple Inc. (AAPL), is pivoting to become an AI robotics software provider, utilizing Nvidia Corporation (NVDA) technology. The company aims to complete this transformation by 2030, as it seeks to mitigate risks in the volatile consumer electronics market and geopolitical challenges. Its subsidiary, Sync Robotic, recently introduced AI-powered quadruped security robots, developed in just eight months with Nvidia’s Omniverse platform for simulation and Jetson Orin Nano for edge computing. Chairman Freddy Kuo emphasized that AI tools significantly accelerated their development timeline. This strategic shift mirrors a broader trend among Apple suppliers, such as Foxconn, to transition from traditional electronics to AI data infrastructures amid declining consumer demand and U.S.-China tensions. Nvidia’s recent deal with Saudi Arabia’s Humain for AI chips highlights its commitment to robotics as a key growth area, aligning with their focus on future technologies.
