For India’s Gen Z, AI has transitioned from a futuristic concept to an integral part of daily life. The second ET Snapchat Gen Z Index reveals that 78% of Indians aged 18–28 regularly utilize AI tools like ChatGPT and Gemini. Among students, 46% depend on AI for academic support, while 29% of young professionals leverage it to enhance productivity in tasks like content creation and design. Additionally, 79% incorporate AI and augmented reality (AR) into everyday experiences, finding them vital for efficiency and self-expression. Conducted by Kantar, the survey highlighted this digitally native generation’s comfort with technology in urban and Tier 1 towns. Notably, 20% of working Gen Zers use AI for creative endeavors, viewing it as an enabling force rather than a threat. As Gen Z prioritizes efficiency, authenticity, and inclusivity, their profound integration of AI underscores its role as a present-day necessity, rather than a distant future aspiration.
