The UK claimed AI could save its public administration £45 billion annually, though this raised skepticism among MPs. The G7 also aims to enhance computing resources for start-ups, support talent exchanges, and promote energy-efficient AI innovations.
In relation to quantum technologies, G7 members acknowledged their transformative potential while recognizing security implications. They called for a trusted ecosystem to prevent sensitive technology leakage. Although China was not mentioned specifically, the G7’s strategy appears to be designed to maintain an advantage over Beijing, reinforcing collaboration among democratic nations in this field.
