Google Assistant is set to retire later this year, paving the way for Gemini to take its place. Recently, Gemini updated its branding to match Google’s classic color scheme of red, yellow, green, and blue, moving away from its previous blue and purple palette. This update became available with Google Gemini version 1.0.776555963 on the Play Store, and users can sideload it from APKMirror if they haven’t received the rollout yet. Post-update, Gemini features a new logo in the app drawer, maintaining its shape but with rounded edges and a revamped color scheme. Interestingly, while some elements like the logo during responses kept their inner blue and purple hues, they now have an outer multi-colored glow. Although initial leaks hinted at further changes to the app’s splash screen and home-screen greeting, these features are not yet implemented.
