In May, I embarked on a project to create a website, AndroidRewind.com, using Google Gemini to chronicle Android’s history. After initial delays and dissatisfaction with the design, I revamped the site with Google AI Studio. Android Rewind features key sections, including a Releases timeline detailing Android versions, Devices showcasing significant hardware, OEMs, and Notable Figures behind Android’s evolution. The homepage evolved with engaging visuals and a “Recent Release History” section. Despite some challenges, like deployment issues and lost changes while editing in Google Cloud, I learned the flexibility of using Gemini. Future plans include enhancing content on releases and devices, and expanding to include tablets, wearables, and Chromebooks.
