Gemini Now Available on Chromebook Plus Laptops!

Google has announced that its Gemini in Chrome features are now available for Chromebook Plus users in the US. Initially introduced for desktop platforms such as Windows and macOS, Gemini in Chrome adds AI tools to enhance productivity by integrating features into a sidebar that pulls from your open tabs.

The rollout, which began on January 28, supports both business and education users, allowing them to summarize articles, generate content, and engage in live conversations for brainstorming and meeting preparation. However, this functionality is currently limited to Chromebook Plus models, with no updates on availability for standard Chromebooks.

Workspace admins have the option to disable the feature, which is enabled by default. As Google continues to focus on AI enhancements, Gemini in Chrome aims to streamline browsing workflows while ensuring data governance. This move aligns with Google’s commitment to expanding its services to Chromebook users.
