Google is steadily integrating its Gemini AI into various products, with a recent rollout for Android Auto. Following its May announcement, reports from 9to5Google indicate that select Android Auto users are gaining access to Gemini, particularly those on the beta channel. These users have noticed new settings, including location sharing with the AI.
Gemini is set to replace Google Assistant on Android Auto, enhancing user experience with improved natural language processing and the ability to interact with apps like Google Maps and Home. This AI can send and translate messages seamlessly, providing a more intuitive driving assistant.
Additionally, the “let’s talk” phrase activates Gemini Live for natural conversations, while the traditional “Hey Google” command also remains functional. Currently, the rollout is limited, but wider access is anticipated based on user feedback, aiming for a smoother driving experience while keeping interactions brief and to the point.
