Google has initiated a significant redesign of the Gemini homepage on the web, introducing a centralized “Tools” menu. The updated interface shifts the “Ask Gemini” prompt bar from the bottom to a centered position, reminiscent of Google Search’s layout. The standalone chips have been replaced by a streamlined Tools menu, enabling users to access various features based on their Google AI plan, including options like Videos with Veo, Deep Think, and Guided Learning.
Underneath the new prompt bar, users will find suggested actions for writing, building, deep research, image creation, and video creation. When a prompt is entered, the bar slides down for a classic chat experience. For mobile users, the prompt bar remains at the bottom, with suggested actions displayed right below. Additionally, Google is rolling out a Gemini update for Wear OS, featuring a vibrant new four-color glow. This redesign aims to enhance user experience by making navigation more intuitive and organized.
