Gemini’s Guided Learning Transforms Studying into Engaging Two-Way Conversations for Deeper Understanding

As the new school year approaches, Google enhances its AI offerings for students with the introduction of Guided Learning in the Gemini app. This feature focuses on comprehending topics through step-by-step instructions and interactive engagement, moving beyond simple answer provision. Users can activate Guided Learning from Gemini’s prompt bar, allowing for personalized assistance that combines visuals and clarifications. Powered by Google’s LearnLM, this tool is rooted in educational science.

Additionally, Google is offering select college students in the US, Japan, Indonesia, Korea, and Brazil a free year of its Google AI Pro plan, formerly known as Google One AI Premium. The plan includes the newly upgraded Gemini 2.5 Pro, Deep Research tools for creating custom study guides, and advanced video generation with Veo 3. Enhanced features across Google Workspace apps, increased storage, and a $1 billion commitment to AI education further solidify Google’s investment in student success.
