A recent study by Börse Stuttgart’s crypto platform BISON reveals a shift in investment preferences among young German investors, favoring cryptocurrency over traditional precious metals. The survey, conducted by Marketagent with 2,000 participants aged 18-70 in August-September 2025, shows that 27% of 30-39-year-olds invest in cryptocurrencies compared to 24% in precious metals. Notably, 48% of crypto investors view their holdings as long-term retirement savings. Generational gaps also emerge in AI adoption for financial decisions; 50% of those aged 19-29 value AI tools like ChatGPT, while only 12% of individuals over 60 do. Trust in the financial industry varies significantly by education and income, with 50% of high school graduates expressing confidence compared to only 21% of lower-income individuals. This data illustrates how younger Germans are reshaping investment landscapes through digital assets and AI, exposing long-standing barriers to financial inclusion.
