Ginko Unveils Clinician-Approved AI Parenting App to Tackle Screen Time Challenges

Ginko has launched as the inaugural clinician-backed AI parenting platform aimed at helping families navigate screen time, social media, and online safety. Families face over 500 screen-related conflicts annually, often lacking pediatric guidance on technology use. Announced by CTO Maximillian Kirchoff on LinkedIn, Ginko offers 24/7 personalized, evidence-based support through its app, featuring playbooks, alerts for professional care, and updates on digital trends. Developed with clinical oversight from psychiatrists and pediatricians, Ginko is HIPAA-compliant, ensuring trustworthy resources for parents. Co-founder Larissa May highlighted the challenges parents face, noting that 77% of pediatricians overlook screen time discussions. Ginko aims to transform “screen fear” into “screen freedom,” further supported by resources for children with additional needs, including ADHD and autism. The app is free to download, with premium features available via subscription. Ginko represents a shift towards a more informed parenting approach in the digital age.
