Downdetector has reported a significant increase in outage reports from users, with 466 outages noted in India as of 2:37 p.m. This incident echoes an earlier outage in early April, attributed to the surge in popularity of the Ghibli image generation feature. During that event, the rapid influx of users led to system crashes on April 2. OpenAI, the U.S.-based artificial intelligence company, offers a variety of AI tools and applications, which include ChatGPT, Dall-E, Sora, Data Analyst, Web Browser, Writing Coach, and more. The popularity of these tools contributes to user spikes, which can sometimes result in service disruptions.
