Gmail Introduces Automatic AI Email Summaries for Select Users

Google is introducing AI-generated email summaries in the Gmail app for users with paid Workspace and Google AI Premium accounts. Instead of manually tapping for summaries, users will see them automatically for longer emails or threads, showcasing key points and updated with replies. Currently, these summaries are only available in English and may take up to 15 days to roll out to all users. While users can disable the feature, it will also turn off other smart tools like high-priority notifications and Smart Reply. Concerns about privacy have arisen, with discussions on whether AI tools like Google Gemini compromise user data.
