Google Brings Gemini to Android Devices in Google Docs, Now Supporting 20+ Languages

admin

Google has expanded its Gemini AI chatbot features in Google Docs to Android devices, previously exclusive to desktop for paid Workspace users. This integration allows users to leverage Gemini’s capabilities on their Android devices, enabling text summarization, document analysis, and answering queries. The Gemini side panel became available on the web in 2024, with the AI now accessible via the Android app, represented by a sparkle icon. This paid feature caters to Google Workspace Business and Enterprise users, along with those with active Gemini Education add-ons. While users can receive summaries and improvements or query document content in over 20 languages, some advanced functions, such as “Help me write,” image generation, and complex tasks, remain limited to the desktop version. Overall, Gemini aims to enhance productivity for users manipulating documents on the go.
