Powered by Gemini 2.5, Google’s “visual fan-out” technology conducts multiple searches simultaneously, enhancing detail recognition of both primary and minor elements within images. The shopping aspect allows users to describe items in plain English, yielding shoppable results that can be further refined. The Shopping Graph, tracking over 50 billion product listings, supports this feature, ensuring real-time updates. The new AI Mode, available in English in the US, also includes additional features for paying users, such as Gemini 2.5 Pro and automated local business tools. As Google advances, it faces competition from OpenAI’s integrated shopping capabilities.
