Google is reorganizing its AI service brands, discontinuing the names “Gemini Pro” and “Gemini Ultra.” The company previously phased out “Gemini Advanced” as of Google I/O 2025. Moving forward, the AI assistant will simply be referred to as “Gemini,” available in Free, Pro, and Ultra tiers, aiming to simplify user experience and reduce confusion about product varieties. Existing users may notice this branding change in their apps, with updates rolling out soon. In a similar move, Google has dropped the “NotebookLM Plus” name, opting for “NotebookLM,” which will also be offered in Pro and Ultra tiers. While these changes might initially create some uncertainty, Google anticipates they will enhance clarity for users in the future.
