Google has announced a significant update for the Gemini app, finally allowing users to upload audio files across Android, iOS, and the web. This feature, highly requested by users, enhances the app’s utility, as previously it only supported files and images, excluding audio. Now, free-tier users can upload audio files up to 10 minutes long and five prompts daily, while Google AI Pro and AI Ultra users can upload up to three hours of audio. Additionally, the app now accepts up to 10 files per prompt, offering greater contextual support for generating desired outputs. Alongside these updates, Google also introduced five new languages for its Search AI Mode, including Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, and Brazilian Portuguese, powered by the Gemini 2.5 model. This expansion aims to improve accessibility and user experience, making complex queries easier in users’ preferred languages. Overall, this update marks a crucial enhancement for Gemini app users.
