Google Gemini Enhances Drive with Actionable PDF Summaries

Google is enhancing its Gemini AI tool within Google Drive, allowing it to summarize PDF documents and provide interactive suggestions in over 20 languages. This update enables users to receive click-to-implement prompts, such as drafting proposals or creating interview questions based on information in resumes, making Gemini a more proactive productivity assistant. It builds on previous features that displayed pop-up summaries and action prompts when PDFs are accessed. The new interface includes a preview window, streamlining user experience by eliminating separate tabs for accessing summaries. The improved functionality will roll out over two weeks and supports various account types, including personal, Business Standard/Plus, Enterprise, and educational plans.
