Google Gemini Introduces Video Uploads for AI-Driven Analysis on Mobile Apps

admin

Google has updated its Gemini app to allow users to upload videos for analysis, enabling them to ask questions about video content or receive descriptions of clips, as reported by The Verge. This feature is accessible for some users on iOS and Android devices but has not been universally rolled out. Key functionalities include video analysis, where Gemini can provide insights or answer queries about the video, and a user-friendly video player interface that allows playback of the uploaded clip. However, the feature has limitations; it is currently not available on the web version, and users may encounter a “File type unsupported” message. Additionally, the built-in camera feature of Gemini still does not support video capture. As Google refines the Gemini models, users can anticipate further improvements to this video analysis feature.
