Google Integrates Gemini into Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Drive

Google is enhancing Gemini’s integration within Google Workspace, bringing new generative AI capabilities to Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Drive. This rollout, which began on March 10 for Google AI Ultra and Pro subscribers, introduces features that allow users to effortlessly generate documents, analyze data, and create presentations using AI. Gemini functions as a co-editor in Google Docs, generating drafts based on contextual information from users’ files and emails, and offers new features like “Match writing style” to align with existing documents.

In Sheets, Gemini can create and organize spreadsheets, while “Fill with Gemini” populates cells with generated content. Slides benefits from Gemini’s ability to draft slides based on prompts and formatting. Drive now includes “Ask Gemini” for natural language queries, summarizing key file information efficiently. These innovations aim to transform traditional file storage into a dynamic workspace, enhancing productivity and user experience across Google Workspace.
