Google Launches Gemini Scheduled Actions to Compete with ChatGPT’s Scheduling Features

admin

Google has introduced a new feature called ‘Scheduled Actions’ within its AI assistant, Gemini, enhancing its capabilities significantly. Initially announced at Google I/O, this feature allows users to instruct Gemini to automate tasks on a daily or scheduled basis, effectively functioning as a digital butler. Users can, for example, set up prompts for daily inbox highlights, reminders for appointments, or notifications for events, which Gemini will manage autonomously. This innovation aligns Gemini closer with ChatGPT’s Scheduled Tasks, but with deeper integration into Google’s ecosystem, covering applications like Gmail and Calendar for a streamlined experience. Currently, Scheduled Actions are available to subscribers of Google’s AI Pro or AI Ultra plans, as well as eligible Google Workspace users, with plans to expand accessibility to all users in the future. This feature aims to simplify task management, allowing users to focus on their priorities without repetitive prompts.
