Google Opens Applications for Testing Its Chatbot “Bard” in the US and UK | Mashdigi

In February, Google announced the launch of its chatbot, “Bard,” which internal employees have been testing for 2-4 hours daily to enhance user experience. Currently in an open application test limited to U.S. and U.K. users, all applicants must be 18 or older and utilize personal Google accounts, as Google Workspace accounts are ineligible. Google cautions that Bard’s responses should not be viewed as professional advice, as inaccuracies may occur.

Bard is powered by LaMDA, a large-scale language model, providing detailed answers based on user keywords. Google intends to introduce a question-and-answer format search service alongside Bard. Additionally, developers will have access to API resources, enabling them to create varied AI chatbot applications. Google plans to roll out over 20 AI application products this year, with Bard being a preliminary service leveraging LaMDA’s capabilities and signaling further advances in AI technology to come.
