Google is enhancing its AI Mode in Search with advanced “agentic” features, enabling users to perform real-world tasks, receive personalized recommendations, and collaborate with friends and family. This rollout expands availability to over 180 countries. The new capabilities allow the AI to actively assist, such as finding restaurant reservations based on specific criteria like time and location by utilizing platforms like OpenTable and Resy. Personalization is refined, with AI leveraging your search history to recommend options that align with your tastes. Additionally, a sharing feature enables friends and family to join sessions and contribute to planning efforts collaboratively. Currently, access is limited to Google AI Ultra subscribers in the U.S. These updates signal a shift towards making AI Mode resemble a next-generation digital assistant, capable of understanding user preferences and facilitating easier decision-making. Expect more functionalities, including event ticketing, to be introduced soon.
