Google has launched Gemini AI for its Chrome browser, transforming it into a smart assistant for an enhanced browsing experience. Currently available for Windows and macOS users in the US, the Gemini AI will soon extend to Chrome Enterprise and mobile devices. Users can easily access Gemini’s features by clicking its icon in the top right corner, facilitating task automation like booking appointments or grocery orders. Gemini AI smoothly summarizes information across multiple tabs, aiding in travel planning by consolidating flight, hotel, and activity details into a single itinerary. Additionally, it helps users find previously visited pages through specific prompts. Integrated with Google apps, Gemini allows for seamless scheduling and location searches. The new AI features also extend to the Omnibox, enabling users to ask questions about websites directly. Alongside these innovations, Google has introduced important security updates, with future plans for Gemini to assist with password management across select sites.
