Google has announced two new wired Nest Cams and a Nest Doorbell, now featuring 2K resolution for enhanced security. The new products include the Nest Cam Indoor 2K ($99.99), Nest Cam Outdoor 2K ($149.99), and Nest Doorbell 2K ($179.99). These devices are designed for Google’s AI-powered Gemini for Home platform, while older models from 2015 onwards will also benefit from this upgrade.
The cameras maintain familiar designs but now boast new color options and enhanced UV resistance. Key features include 2K HDR video, a wider field of view, improved low-light performance, and advanced zoom options. Google extends free video storage from three to six hours, with longer storage available through the Google Home Premium subscription.
Additionally, the redesigned Google Home app is more user-friendly, integrating all Nest devices and introducing AI features for smarter notifications and automation. Users can now enjoy customized alerts and an upgraded subscription model for enhanced sustainability and performance.
