Google Labs is advancing AI filmmaking by appointing Henry Daubrez as their filmmaker-in-residence. This collaboration aims to enhance Flow, Google’s AI filmmaking tool. Daubrez, a digital artist known for his work on the short film “Electric Pink,” will co-develop new features with the Flow team. Google emphasized that integrating user feedback is crucial for building effective tools, and bringing Daubrez on board aligns with that vision.
In May 2025, Google launched Flow in partnership with Darren Aronofsky’s studio, Primordial Soup, which is set to release the short film “Ancestra.” Daubrez expressed excitement about merging design, storytelling, and technology through this role, which honors his journey in the digital and film industries. He is also currently working on “The Enchanted Door,” an interactive storytelling project utilizing the Flow platform. This partnership signifies Google’s commitment to pioneering AI-driven content creation in filmmaking.
