Google is enhancing Google Workspace by integrating its Gemini AI, as reported by TechCrunch on March 18. This update introduces powerful features across various tools, including document summarization and draft generation in Google Docs, which allow users to condense lengthy reports and create content efficiently. In Gmail, the new “AI inbox” feature filters low-priority emails, highlights important messages, summarizes lengthy conversations, and generates context-based replies. For scheduling, the “AI overview” feature aids users in retrieving essential information from past emails. Google Sheets now offers automatic spreadsheet and chart generation, while Slides benefits from improved formatting and image editing tools. In Google Meet, users can access auto-generated meeting minutes and real-time translation. Lastly, Google Drive enhances document search and summarization, and Calendar now suggests optimal meeting times with the “AI schedule adjustment” feature. Google Chat also gains conversation summaries and automatic replies, enhancing overall productivity and organization.
