This integration allows users to summarize web pages easily, offering key takeaways without leaving their browsing session. By clicking the shortcut, Gemini activates as an AI assistant, streamlining information consumption. However, users should be aware that their activity will contribute to training the AI. Previously, summarizations required manually inputting links into the chatbot, making this development a significant enhancement in user experience.
In another tech update, Apple is dropping the “Plus” from its streaming service, simplifying it to just Apple TV. This branding change comes after six years since its launch in November 2019, potentially creating confusion among consumers with the overlap of the streaming service, hardware device, and app sharing the same name. Such rebrands are not uncommon in the streaming industry, seen previously with HBO Max’s branding changes.
