Google’s AI podcast tool, NotebookLM, is enhancing user experience with its new feature, Video Overviews, which generates narrated slides using AI. Currently available in English, it is set to launch in additional languages soon. This feature serves as a visual counterpart to Audio Overviews, enabling the AI host to create visuals that illustrate key points using images, diagrams, and data directly from documents. This innovation is particularly beneficial for explaining complex data and processes. Previously, NotebookLM allowed users to create separate outputs like Audio Overviews, Mind Maps, and Study Guides within each notebook. The update now permits users to store multiple outputs of the same type in a single notebook. The revamped Studio panel categorizes content into Audio Overviews, Video Overviews, Mind Maps, and Reports, allowing multitasking for enhanced productivity. The updated panel will be rolled out to all users in the coming weeks.
