Google’s Opal Tool: Transforming Prompts into Functional Apps

Google has introduced Opal, an innovative experimental tool enabling users to create AI-powered mini apps without any coding. Now available in public beta for U.S. users, Opal simplifies app development by allowing the creation of “workflows” using natural language and visual interfaces. Users can describe desired app functionalities, and Opal generates a visual workflow accordingly. This tool facilitates chaining multiple prompts and model calls, offering a drag-and-drop interface for customization.

Additionally, Opal features a demo gallery with ready-to-use templates, making it easy for beginners to get started. This launch is part of Google’s broader initiative to enhance AI capabilities, following the release of Gemini 2.5 Flash-Lite and other tools, such as conversational image segmentation and a virtual “Try-On” feature for clothing.

While primarily available to U.S. users, there is potential for future global expansion. Stay updated on the latest tech and AI news by joining us on WhatsApp.
