Google has launched the Veo 3.1 update, enhancing the Gemini app and Gemini API, aiming to empower content creators with increased creativity and control. Key features include “richer audio,” enhanced narrative control, and “enhanced realism” for textures in generated videos. This update strengthens prompt adherence, ensuring user inputs are taken more seriously, and significantly uplifts audiovisual quality when converting images to video.
Veo 3.1 also integrates into Flow, bringing advanced audio capabilities to features like “Ingredients in Video” and “Frames to Video,” allowing for better control of characters and styles. New editing tools enable users to insert elements effortlessly and remove objects from scenes, similar to Magic Eraser functionality.
Available from October 15, Veo 3.1 can be accessed through the Gemini API, Vertex AI for enterprises, and the Gemini app. With these enhancements, Google positions Flow as a cost-effective solution for storytellers, pushing the boundaries of creativity and video production.
