India is set to highlight its AI innovations at the AI Impact Summit 2026 in Delhi, featuring Sarvam AI, a Bengaluru-based startup renowned for its cutting-edge models, Sarvam Vision and Bulbul V3. These models have reportedly surpassed global benchmarks set by ChatGPT and Google Gemini, showcasing India’s prowess in artificial intelligence. Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan commended Sarvam AI’s advancements, noting its audio models outperformed Gemini 3 and GPT-4o in transcription efficiency. Bulbul V3, the latest text-to-speech innovation, has achieved remarkable listener preference and accuracy across 22 languages. With partnerships in Tamil Nadu and Odisha, Sarvam aims to integrate AI into government functions as a public utility. The summit will convene leaders, innovators, and policymakers from over 100 countries, focusing on the themes of people, planet, and progress. The Indian government continues to amplify its AI budget, reinforcing the vision of “AI for all” and enhancing the nation’s technological sovereignty.
