Harvey, a rapidly expanding legal AI startup, has acquired Hexus, a two-year-old company specializing in tools for product demos, videos, and user guides. This acquisition supports Harvey’s aggressive growth strategy in the competitive legal technology sector. Hexus founder Sakshi Pratap, with prior engineering roles at Walmart, Oracle, and Google, will lead an engineering team at Harvey, focusing on enhancing products for in-house legal departments. Hexus raised $1.6 million from investors like Pear VC and Liquid 2 Ventures before the acquisition, which is structured around long-term team incentives. Recently, Harvey reached a valuation of $8 billion after raising $160 million, bringing total funding to $760 million. It currently serves over 1,000 clients globally, including many top U.S. law firms. The acquisition positions Harvey to leverage Hexus’s expertise in enterprise AI tools as it aims to strengthen its foothold in the legal tech market.
