Hilton has introduced a beta version of its generative AI-powered trip planner, the “Hilton AI Planner,” aimed at enhancing the booking experience for travelers. This innovative tool allows users to interact using natural language to explore Hilton’s extensive range of hotels, compare properties, and access detailed amenities information. Initially available to a select group of users on Hilton.com, the planner will roll out further as part of Hilton’s commitment to innovating travel experiences. Michael Leidinger, SVP and CIO at Hilton, emphasized that this launch represents a pivotal step towards reimagining customer engagement. Concurrently, other hotel chains like Marriott and IHG are also advancing their AI initiatives, with Marriott set to integrate natural language search and collaborate with Google for improved booking processes. The upcoming Phocuswright Travel Marketing AI Summit will spotlight these developments, bringing together industry leaders to discuss the future of AI in travel.
