HONOR Bangladesh recently hosted the “Practical AI and Media Integrity Workshop” for members of the Bangladesh ICT Journalist Forum (BIJF), emphasizing the critical role of artificial intelligence (AI) in journalism and media credibility. BIJF President Hitler A Halim stressed the need for journalists to understand AI to maintain credibility, pointing out that it has become essential for modern reporting. Muzahidul Islam, HONOR Bangladesh’s deputy country manager, highlighted the transformative impact of AI on news creation and consumption, advocating for a trust-centered approach in this shift. Abdullah Al Mamun, head of business at HONOR Bangladesh, showcased AI-driven tools designed to enhance productivity and content authenticity. The workshop, led by Ghulam Sumdany Don, included interactive discussions and practical demonstrations on AI applications, such as news verification. Participants experienced hands-on exploration of HONOR’s Magic 8 Pro AI features, reinforcing the company’s commitment to responsible AI innovation within the media community.
