Cybersecurity startup Gambit Security reported that the hacker operated independently, highlighting how AI lowers the barriers to entry for cybercriminals.
Additionally, findings from Amazon’s security team revealed hacks affecting over 600 firewall systems globally, fueled by readily accessible AI tools. IBM reported a 44% increase in the exploitation of public software and a surge in ransomware groups. Experts warn that malicious actors are rapidly enhancing their strategies with AI, putting businesses at heightened risk.
