How to Disable Public Posting on the Meta AI App

admin

Meta’s newly launched AI app, released in April 2025, has stirred controversy by publicly sharing user prompts without clear consent, raising privacy concerns. Users have inadvertently shared bizarre and personal inputs, such as AI-generated images of women mud wrestling or humorous scenarios involving public figures like Donald Trump. Examples of shared prompts include a request to depict Hello Kitty in a peculiar scenario and a user querying veterinarian bill details with sensitive information. Although users can adjust settings to privatize their prompts, many remain unaware of this feature. Meta has intensified its focus on AI to compete with industry leaders like OpenAI and Google, recently investing $14 billion in Scale AI to bolster its strategy. Amid these developments, Meta has not provided comments regarding the privacy issues raised by the app’s functionality. Users are encouraged to manage their privacy settings to avoid unintentional public sharing.
