Share

Hugging Face has launched its new Reachy Mini desktop robots, inviting developers to explore its capabilities. Available in two versions—Reachy Mini Wireless ($449) and Reachy Mini Lite ($299)—the open-source robots are designed for DIY assembly and are sized similarly to a typical stuffed animal. Each unit is programmable in Python, comes with pre-installed demos, and integrates with the Hugging Face Hub, offering access to over 1.7 million AI models. The initiative is aimed at AI developers, enabling them to create custom features and applications for the robots. CEO Clém Delangue emphasized the importance of community feedback in product development, advocating for open-source robotics to ensure user control and creativity. The Reachy Mini Lite is set to ship next month, while the wireless variant follows later this year. This move aligns with Hugging Face’s commitment to democratizing robotics and fostering user-driven innovation.
