The International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT-Hyderabad) has launched SARAL AI, an innovative platform designed to assist academicians, students, and analysts by transforming research papers into concise video presentations. Utilizing advanced generative AI models like Gemini and Claude, SARAL AI summarizes documents, while Sarvam’s Text-to-Speech engine provides audio voiceovers in various languages. Targeting a diverse audience, the tool generates customizable slides based on standard research paper sections: Introduction, Methodology, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion. Although the platform currently offers static slides, future enhancements aim to incorporate images and animations. Inspired by Google’s NotebookLM, SARAL AI supports 11 Indian languages and enables an intuitive 3-4 minute video output.
