India Launches First Meta Gaming Accelerator: Empowering Game Developers with AI Tools and VC Support

Meta Platforms has launched its first gaming accelerator in India, named the Meta Gaming Accelerator, aimed at supporting emerging game developers. The program will select 20 to 30 developers and studios, providing mentorship, training, and strategic guidance for three months. Focus areas include monetization, user acquisition, cross-border scaling, and integrating Meta’s AI tools, such as the Llama model, into game development. Arun Srinivas, Managing Director of Meta in India, emphasized the need to bridge the gap between talent and opportunity within India’s innovative gaming community. Additionally, the initiative aims to address AI’s impact on employment by equipping developers with skills for an AI-driven future. Meta has partnered with leading venture capital firms—Bitkraft Ventures, Kalaari Capital, Lumikai Fund, and Elevation Capital. The program will culminate in a demo day, providing participants the chance to showcase their projects to potential investors and industry stakeholders, fostering growth in India’s burgeoning gaming sector.
