Following a demonstration, regulators remained unconvinced, requiring full compliance with Indian law. Over the next 48 hours, Grok was reportedly used to create non-consensual sexualized images, prompting a surge of complaints. Consequently, MeitY issued a formal notice demanding an “action taken report” detailing safeguards and oversight measures. X defended Grok, stating outputs stem from user prompts, not independent AI actions.
