Tobi, a former software developer, lost his job eight months ago and chose to focus on learning AI instead of securing another position. During this time, he discovered two contrasting insights: while AI significantly accelerated his learning and allowed him to tackle diverse projects, it also made him complacent and overly reliant on technology for problem-solving and brainstorming. This dependency led to disorganized workflows and uncertainty about his own thought processes. Recognizing these challenges, he created Irulan, a platform designed to maintain a healthy balance between human cognition and AI assistance. Irulan allows users to document their ideas without interruption, offers AI editing features, and processes voice notes for insights. Additionally, its Socratic mode engages users in guided learning, while generating quizzes based on interactions. Tobi aims to cultivate an environment that empowers users to leverage AI while minimizing cognitive decline. Feedback is welcome on this innovative project.
