The founder of Okteto has introduced Agent Fleets, a solution designed to improve AI agent workflows. Initial local implementations proved cumbersome due to issues like managing multiple terminals and git worktrees, which hindered efficiency. In response, Okteto developed Agent Fleets—ephemeral, fully managed environments for AI agents, leveraging their development platform. Each agent operates within its own containerized environment tailored to specific needs, allowing for easy deployment with a single click or API call, eliminating complex local setups. Currently in beta, the platform supports models like Sonnet 4 and OpenHands, with plans for more frameworks in the future. The founder invites feedback and feature requests from users to enhance this offering.
