Online travel platform ixigo has launched AI-enhanced tools and financial services to streamline travel planning, particularly for users in Tier II and III cities. Rajnish Kumar, Director and Group Co-CEO, emphasized technology as a bridge between dreams and destinations. Notable features include PLAN, an AI itinerary builder that has generated over 600,000 personalized travel plans since 2023, and TARA, a multilingual chatbot addressing 91% of customer support queries autonomously. The platform’s ‘Price Lock’ feature enables users to freeze airfare for a fee, while ‘Travel Guarantee’ offers refunds on waitlisted train tickets. For bus trips, ‘Bus Insights’ provides data on assigned buses, allowing for informed choices. ixigo also introduces financial flexibility through No Cost EMI and Buy Now Pay Later options on bookings, along with ‘ixigo Credit’ for deferred payments. These innovations aim to overcome budget constraints and make travel accessible to more people.
