KDDI Unveils AI Agent for Instant Fault Diagnosis in Cloud Services

KDDI has launched its Fault Recovery Support Agent (AI Agent) on February 19, 2026, enhancing the responsiveness of its cloud services, including voice calls and data communication. This AI-driven solution analyzes correlations between affected services, alarms, and maintenance activities, helping operational staff quickly identify complex failure causes. KDDI is also set to introduce the Autonomous Maintenance Agent in FY2026, which will support the AI Agent in executing recovery measures such as equipment isolation and maintenance tasks, thereby automating the failure recovery process.

Since 2021, KDDI has focused on “Smart Operation,” enabling rapid recovery through streamlined monitoring and operations. The AI Agent improves this by quickly pinpointing the failure source, particularly in complex multi-system issues, aided by a digital twin of network configurations. KDDI will showcase this innovative technology at MWC26 Barcelona from March 2-5, 2026, as part of its commitment to operational digital transformation and providing stable telecommunications services.
