KPMG is revolutionizing its consulting approach by training junior consultants to manage teams of AI agents, as reported by Business Insider. According to Niale Cleobury, the global AI workforce lead at KPMG, these digital assistants are designed to handle tasks like data analysis and presentation creation, enabling junior staff to focus more on strategic decision-making. The firm is working on a catalog of AI agents to streamline analytical and administrative tasks, effectively replacing routine grunt work with strategic input. While the initiative is still in early development, KPMG has launched an AI-powered platform called Velocity and aims to integrate additional features, including voice interaction. Sam Gloede, global trusted AI transformation leader, emphasizes that while changes are imminent, the immediate impact on daily operations will be minimal. This shift reflects KPMG’s commitment to evolving advisory work, emphasizing large-scale transformations and reducing the burden of documentation on consultants.
