Kubota and Bobcat Unveil AI Innovations as Indoor Agriculture Embraces Consumer Technology

At CES 2026, agricultural automation and AI took center stage, featuring innovations from OEMs like Kubota and Bobcat. Kubota highlighted its partnership with Agtonomy, showcasing the autonomous M5 Narrow tractor and its versatile KVPR transformer robot, designed for smart farming. This robot integrates a Digital Twinning System for real-time data monitoring, enabling significant improvements in decision-making and efficiency, as explained by Kubota’s CTO, Brett McMickell.

Bobcat also advanced the field with its RogueX3 autonomous loader, which supports electric, diesel, hydrogen, or hybrid operations. This loader features a modular design and is equipped with an AI support platform called Service.AI for real-time diagnostics, alongside a Collision Warning and Avoidance System to enhance safety.

In indoor agriculture, Luya Tech introduced an AI-driven microgreens nutrition system, allowing users to grow customized microgreens at home. Luya’s innovation combines AI, sensors, and a mobile app to personalize nutrition, showcasing the growing intersection of consumer tech and agriculture.
