At CES 2023, Lenovo Group showcased its AI ambitions with the introduction of Qira, a groundbreaking “personal AI super agent” designed to function seamlessly across its range of devices, including laptops, tablets, and Motorola smartphones. Qira offers features such as summarizing notifications, real-time transcriptions, translations, and managing tasks like travel bookings. Notably, it can operate offline and personalizes over time, making it a significant evolution in consumer AI, according to Lenovo’s CEO Yang Yuanqing. Unlike traditional AI-embedded devices, Qira aims to reshape how users engage with AI. Built on OpenAI’s GPT models, it also incorporates Microsoft’s Phi-4 mini model for enhanced local functionality. Lenovo plans to launch Qira on selected devices in the first quarter of the year. This innovative development highlights Lenovo’s commitment to advancing personalized AI technology in the rapidly evolving tech landscape.
